Elizabeth Gordon
Elizabeth is a full-time sloth turned outdoor-lover. Before moving to Utah, she and her family lived for a decade in Washington, DC, where she worked in marketing at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. She left the Museum to pursue her passion for writing.
Elizabeth started hiking with her husband and fell in love. Now, with too many children to carry up the mountains, she and her husband have started focusing on training their girls to hike on their own. In the fall of 2020, the girls (ages five and three) hiked over 68 miles with a max distance of 7.97 miles and 1987 ft of vertical gain! Her son, (one) won't be too far behind as he loves to get out of his carrier and run with his sisters (or sit and eat rocks.) It wasn't easy—but she and her husband hope the children will learn the value of overcoming challenges through their adventures outdoors.
Elizabeth is looking forward to building her skills in skiing, biking, and camping in her new hometown of Park City and spending as much time as possible with her family, outside.
